Billie Merle Duckworth Rucker

Graveside Services and Interment for Mrs. Billie Rucker will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Pineville, with Reverends Bart Walker and Billy Lonsberry officiating. Mrs. Rucker, 84, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 20, 2020, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. She was a native of Pineville and worked as a bookkeeper and office manager at Charles Buckley & Associates and Central Electric Company. She had a passion for gardening and could identify most any flower from whatever description that you could offer. She enjoyed hosting family and friends at any opportunity, especially for holidays and celebrations. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her father, William Penn Duckworth, and her mother, Nellie Dee Duckworth as well as her stepdaughter, Karen Garrett; sisters, Ula Mae Duckworth Colson, Gladys Murphy Payatt, Bernice Murphy Smith, and Mattie Jane Murphy Cripps. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her husband of thirty-two years, Bobby Rucker of Pineville; three sons:Jimmie Lonsberry of Pineville, Tommy Lonsberry and his wife, Mona, of Boyce, and John Lonsberry and his wife, Shari, of Coshocton, Ohio; one step-son, Scott Rucker and his wife, Marie, of Austin, Texas; step-son-in-law: Doug Garrett of Pineville seven grandchildren: Billy Lonsberry (Nancy) of Alexandria, Daniel Lonsberry (Kristy) of Pineville, Caleb Lonsberry of Lafayette, Katie Sandoval (Derek) of Pineville along with Jacob Lonsberry, Logan Lonsberry and Leah Lonsberry, all of Coshocton, Ohio; six step-grandchildren: Jason Garrett (Tina) of Pineville, April Campbell (Trey) of West Monroe, Ryan Garrett of Pineville, Megan Garrett of Pineville, Nicholas Rucker and Abigail Rucker, both of Roundrock, Texas; and fifteen great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers or plants, you may make donations to the Trucker Ministry of Kingsville Baptist Church of Pineville, 3911 Monroe Highway, Pineville, LA 71360, phone # 318-640-1019.
