Erica T. (Miranda) Mason, of Danvers, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020. The cherished wife of Jeff Mason, she was 30 years of age. Born and raised in Beverly, Erica was one of two siblings, born to Anthony and Angela (Alli) Miranda. She was a passionate teacher, who proudly received her Master’s in Education from Endicott College. Erica’s dedication in early childhood education began when she committed to teaching young Mexican children through the AmeriCorps volunteer program. After college, Erica taught first and second grades at Hannah Elementary in Beverly, and most recently worked at Aspire Learning Center for special needs children at the Cummings Center in Beverly. Erica loved traveling, hiking and kayaking. She also enjoyed cooking and being with the children who she taught. In addition, she loved animals and would volunteer at the local dog shelter in Salem. Erica had a big heart and will always remain in the hearts of her family and friends. She lit up the room wherever she was; she was the happiest person. She was kind, compassionate and a free spirit who played to her own tune. She had a wonderful sense of humor and had a very eclectic taste in home décor; she had an amazing personality. Erica will be reunited in heaven with her grandparents, Enrico and Theresa Miranda, and her great-aunt, Zia Michelina DiRuzza. Erica is lovingly survived by her husband, Jeff Mason; her parents, Anthony and Angela (Alli) Miranda of Beverly; her brother, Marc Miranda of Newton, NH; her grandparents, Giovanna and Pasquali Alli of Beverly; her canine child, Milly; and many loving aunts, uncles and in-laws. Her funeral services will be held privately by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly.
