William “Kenneth” Gardner, 69, of Sherman, Texas, died on Friday March 20, 2020 in Sherman, Texas. Funeral services will be held at the DFW National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home William was born in Brooklyn, New York to Edward Gardner and Charlotte Harscher Gardner on September 30, 1950 in Brooklyn New York. He attended school in Mastic, New York. He married Lily Jane Coleman on May 9, 1993. William worked at a textile company in New York for 13 years. He was a Vietnam veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps. William was also a volunteer firefighter for Nesconset Fire Department in Smithtown, New York. William is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Hansen. He is survived by his wife, Lily, sons Kenneth Gardner and wife Donna, Timothy Gardner and wife Jamie , Patrick Gardner, stepson Joshua Meyette daughter Jennifer Gardner and husband Joe Tate, brother Paul Gardner, brother-in-law Bradley Dale Coleman, grandchildren Emory, Bria, Kenneth S. and Ashlyn Gardner. Due to the Covid- 19 virus, there will be a private burial at a later date
