Mrs. Eleanor M Gilbert, age 73, of Mascotte, FL, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, in Leesburg, Florida. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Bernard and Florence Cunningham. Eleanor was a lifetime member of the VFW women's auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 49 years: Billy Gilbert Mascotte, FL; son: Jason Scott Gilbert (Danielle) of Mascotte, FL; stepchildren: Alisa Byrum (Richard) of Hartwell, GA ; Christal Smith (Danny) of Elberton, GA, grandchildren; Gavin, Mackenzie, Megan, Mollie, Marlia, Bailee; great-grandchildren: Gracie, Ellie and Stella; and sisters: Sharon Ballou (Doug) of MD, Dinah Hoffman of MD. Arrangements entrusted to Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, Florida. Eleanor will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery with a private family service.
