Rachel F Collard

Belchertown - Rachel (Fuller) Collard, 100, passed away March 20, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 12, 1920 in Belchertown, Massachusetts to Edward and Sarah (Dillon) Fuller. Rachel was a life long resident of Belchertown, and an active member of the Belchertown Historical Association and the Garden Club. She was a former member of the United Church of Christ and served on the Women's Guild for many years, she also attended Christ Community Church. Rachel was also active in the Auxiliary at Mary Lane Hospital and the American Red Cross. She worked as a registered nurse along side her husband, Dr. Kenneth L. Collard who had a family practice in Belchertown. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Kenneth L. Collard in 1996 and her siblings, LouisFuller and Maxine Peterson. She will be deeply missed by her three children, John "Jack" Collard of Vero Beach, FL, Barbara Steinmetz of Amherst and James Collard with whom she lived. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Christian, Rachel and Jacob and a great grandson, Vincent Brenz. A Graveside Service will be held at later date. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Belchertown Historical Association, Po Box 1211, Belchertown, MA 01007.
