Carlos Leroy Hicks, 87, of Panama City went to be with the Lord Friday, March 20, 2020. He was born October 24, 1932 in Milton, Florida. Carlos was a cast netter and stevedore; and Korean War Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient of the United States Army. He Pastored for a total of 26 years, serving at Fountain Community Church, Light and Life Community Church of Fountain. He was a faithful husband for 66 years and a proud father of 5 children. Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Andrew and mother, Lela Hicks. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 66 beautiful years, Myrna Hicks; daughter, Sherlene Hicks Lord (husband Kenneth); sons, Carlos Hicks Jr, Joseph Hicks, Alvin Hicks and Robert Hicks; grandchildren, David Lord, Rebecca Mann (Christopher), Nathan Hicks, Justin Hicks, Joshua Hicks, Nicholas Hicks; great-grandchildren, Alex Lord, Hannah Lord, Elijah Mann, and Caleb Mann ; great-great grandson, Carson Lord. He will be laid to rest with a private family graveside service at Callaway Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
