Chester Holden

Chester Holden, son of the late Marion Green and Louise Justice Holden, was born July 19, 1952. He departed this earthly life on March 20, 2020. Chester affectionally known as “Shorty”, “Chess Peak”, attended Jeffrey’s Grove Elementary and Millbrook High School where he was a “Star Running Back”. After graduation, Chester moved to Trenton, New Jersey to be with his sister Percell. While in Trenton, he met the love of his life, Gail Muse, and to this union, a daughter Rotunda was born. Chester returned to Raleigh in the early 80’s, where he worked for Rea Construction. Chester is predeceased by his parents, Marion and Louise Holden; sister, Percell Holden Brown; brothers, Leonza and James Holden; and niece, Vernell Dunn Alston. Chester leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Rotunda Muse Allen of Trenton, New Jersey; two granddaughters, Ayreanna Wiley and Kori Allen both of Trenton, New Jersey; eight nieces; two nephews; special cousins and caregivers, Janet Peebles McLin and Lonnie Holden, Jr.; a dear school friend, Stanley Mitchell, his resident family at Glenwood Towers; and a host of other family and friends.
