Samuel Taft Walley

Mr. Samuel Taft Walley, 45, of Helena, Alabama, died March 20, 2020. He was born in Decatur, Georgia, on October 8, 1974. He was the son of Charles and Linda Walley. Taft was a 1993 graduate of Cedartown High School in Cedartown, Georgia, and a 1998 graduate of Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He had been a member of the United States Army Reserve and was employed with the State Farm family for 18 years. Mr. Walley was a member of Shades Valley Lutheran Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Walley is survived by his parents, Charles and Linda Walley; his wife, Loren Lampkin Walley, children, Anna Grace, Ashleigh, and Samuel Taft Walley, Jr.; brother, Ryan Walley. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jason Todd Walley. According to his wishes, he was cremated. A memorial service celebrating his life will be announced at a later date.
