Eulene M. Jackson

Eulene Mae Twitchell, 90 of Coffeyville passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at her home. She was born on July 12, 1929 in Coffeyville to Charles and Stella (Brooks) Knisley. Eulene grew up and attended school in the Coffeyville, Kansas and the Nowata County, Oklahoma area, and attended Lenapah High School in Lenapah, Oklahoma. On November 27, 1946 she married John A. Twitchell at Tyro, Kansas. Following their marriage they made their home in the Coffeyville area where they raised their children Michael, Karen, Judy and Linda. After 56 loving years of marriage, John left this world on August 18, 2002. In March 2007 she married John E. Jackson. They spent 3 years together until his passing on August 24, 2010. Eulene worked at Automotive Control in Independence for five years, and the shoe department at Wal-Mart for 13 years. She later worked at Windsor Place Assisted Living until her retirement. She was a member of Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and also attended Lewark Church of God for many years. Eulene enjoyed fishing, traveling the United States, and playing music for the residents at Windsor Place. Her greatest joy was her family and the time she spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Michael Twitchell and wife, Diane of Coffeyville; three daughters, Karen Moore and husband, Robert of Wann, Oklahoma, Judy Raney and husband Walt of Liberty, Kansas and Linda Deatherage and husband, Robert of Coffeyville. She was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John A. Twitchell and second husband John E. Jackson; one sister Darlene Eastham, one half-brother Gary Knisley, and one granddaughter Christie Moore. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Lewark Church of God, 920 Lewark St. in Coffeyville with Pastor James Feltner and Pastor Darrin Brown officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lewark Church of God. The family suggests memorials to Emmanuel Chapel, Lewark Church of God, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Coffeyville Friends of Animals; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
