Ann M. Harris
Ann M. Harris, age 96, died Friday, March 20, 2020 at her home in Raritan Township NJ, surrounded by her family. Born March 16, 1924, in Jersey City NJ, Ann was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Monahan) Wagner. Ann graduated from Somerville High School in the Class of 1942. After her marriage to the late Peter Harris in July of 1947, the couple settled and raised their family in Middlesex NJ where they lived for more than 30 years, eventually retiring with Peter to Newport Richey FL in 1981. Ann returned to New Jersey in 2000 to live closer to her daughter and family. Ann was always a vibrant and active person throughout her life. She and Peter traveled to various parts of the United States when they were able, and she loved keeping a garden at her Florida home. Ann was a volunteer at the gift shop in the Hunterdon Medical Center for many years. She enjoyed making treasures in ceramics, playing pinochle at the Senior Center in Flemington, completing a favorite crossword puzzle, and bowling at the Frenchtown Lanes with the “Spicy Seniors” bowling league. In addition to her parents and her husband, Peter, in 1994, Ann was predeceased by her brother, Edwin Wagner, and her daughter, Sandra Milburn in 1992. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Marianne Harris of Millsboro DE, her daughter and son-in-law, Meredith and Terry O’Neill of Flemington NJ, her eight grandchildren, Allison LeMieux, Heidi O’Neill, Megan Milburn, Matt Milburn, Amy Milburn, Jennifer Memoli, Nancy Joseph, and Gina Speller, as well as her five great-grandchildren, Nadine, Jordan, Caitlyn, and Derek, and her newest dear great-grandchild, Zoe. A memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
