Antonia (Franca) Caruso

Antonia (Franca) Caruso, 85, of Dresher PA, passed away on March 20, 2020 at Abington Jefferson Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Mario Caruso (deceased 1973). Born in Maida, Province Catanzaro, Italy on January 20, 1935 to the late Antonio and Elisabetta (Pasceri) Pileggi, she attended school in Italy. Antonia later came to the US to start a new life with her beloved Mario as a wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother and great-grandmother and proudly became a US Citizen. She was employed as a Supervisor for Gessner Products Inc for many years until finally retiring in 2000. She is survived by her 3 children Dominic Caruso (Deborah), Giuliana Caruso Kashdan (Zachary), Antonella Caruso Zurybida (Gene), 6 grandchildren Dominic Jr., Jennifer, Jeffrey, Amanda, Mario and Joseph, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren, her sister Angela Caruso, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by siblings Angelo Pileggi, Vincenzo Pileggi and Giancarla Pileggi Dembeck. Funeral and Christian burial will be held privately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A public Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations in Antonia’s name may be sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. www.cff.org.
