Our beloved Mary Berron Gonzales, age 88, a lifelong resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Friday, March 20, 2020. She is reunited with her husband, Manor Gonzales; her daughter, Mary Sylvia Vital; her parents, Refugio and Frances Berron; and her siblings, Jesse, Louis, Carlota, Refugia, and Carolina Berron. Mary is survived by her children, Ignacio Castro, Raul Castro, Alfred Castro, Refugio Castro, Elizabeth Bocanegra, and Jesse Castro, and his wife, Margarita; her son-in-law, Pedro M. Vital; more than 12 grandchildren, more than 28 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Paul Berron; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends. Lie in State, following City Mandate, will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020, Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Private Family Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side. Private Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery Street, Austin, Texas. Private Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 IH 35S. Feeder Rd., Austin, Texas. Due to the latest Coronavirus Restrictions, implemented on March 17, 2020 by the City of Austin and Travis County, visitation will be limited to 10 people in the chapel at all times.
