Hastings resident Lynda R. Garver, 68, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at Good Samaritan Society Perkins Pavilion. Memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, December 16, 2016 at All Saints Chapel in Good Samaritan Society in Hastings, NE. In honor of her wish to be cremated there is no viewing or visitation. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service is handling arrangements. Memorials may be directed to her family for a later designation. Lynda R. Garver was born December 23, 1947 in Grand Island, Nebraska, the daughter of Elmer and Agnes (Salmon) Derr. She graduated from Grand Island High School with the class of 1965. Lynda received and business degree from Kearney State College. She married Terry L. Garver on November 15, 1969 in Grand Island, Nebraska. Lynda work 42 years as a bookkeeper for Big G in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Hastings, Nebraska. Lynda enjoyed camping, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family and friends Lynda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Terry L. Garver; children, Randy (Ashley) Garver of Omaha, NE, Craig (Lisa) Garver of Broken Arrow, OK, Bryan (Leslie) Garver of Hastings, NE; four grandchildren, Justin (Kim) Garver, Brett Garver, Jordan Garver, and Jenna Garver; one great granddaughter, Gracie Mae; brother, Robert Derr; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; son, Bradly Garver; one brother, Gene Derr; one sister, Nadean Seymour.
