PORTSMOUTH - Kimberly Noelle Godwin, 51, of the 600 block of Whitestone Ave. passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 in her home. She was born on December 24, 1964 in Falls Church, VA to the late John and Sue Ann Godwin; and was a chef by trade. Although Kim’s life was a short one, it was a full one. She traveled across the country and had many fun experiences. Her life was filled with family time, many friends, and lots of fun. For those who knew her, Kim loved the sun; and she lived in California and Florida to get as much of it as she could. She is now basking in God’s eternal sunshine… She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sister, Johnna Skinner and her husband Larry; and four nephews, Christopher, Patrick, Jonathan and Phillip Walker. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 18, 2016 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Rev. Anne Kesner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local SPCA.
