Walter W. Wilson, age 66, of Cambridge, Ohio, died Monday, December 12, 2016, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born June 25, 1950, in Zanesville, son of the late Lloyd and Martha Knight Wilson. He was a 1968 graduate of Cambridge High School, and he was a United States Army veteran, having served stateside during the Vietnam era. He retired from the City of Cambridge Water Department. Mr. Wilson enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, and he also enjoyed bowling on his Wii computer and writing poetry. He is survived by two children, Eric Jason (Jennifer) Wilson of Xenia and Stephanie R. (Mark) Taylor of Cambridge; three grandchildren, E. J. Wilson, Rachel Wilson, and Mike Taylor; one brother, Glenn Wilson of West Virginia; two sisters, Jean Ainsco and Adele Flowers, both of Cambridge; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be observed Friday, December 16, 2016 from 5 -9PM at the Southgate Hotel, 2248 Southgate Parkway in Cambridge.
