Cheryl Jones

Cheryl South Jones, age 59 of Carrollton, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016. She was born November 29, 1957 in Villa Rica, Georgia to the late Thomas Jefferson South and Cora Ann Adair South. She was a homemaker and a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Alma Jones; father-in-law, Denver Jones; and a granddaughter, Andrea Bailes. Survivors include her husband, Carl Denver Jones of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Carl Jefferson and Karen Jones; son, Tyler Denver Jones; step-daughter, Deanna Spalding; four brothers, Jeff South, Michael South, Danny South and Richard South; sister, Elaine Runyon; three grandsons, Trent Bailes, Jesse Bailes, and Mason Noah Jones; and two granddaughters, Anna Lynn Jones and Bayley Denver Jones. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Tommy Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Justin Butler, Justin Cota, Israel Samples, Taylor Alred, Eddie Caldwell, Cody Cavender, Landon Cosper, and Tracy Pollard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
