William Keller, Jr., age 75, of Metamora, died Monday, March 16, 2020. William was born in Flint, Michigan to William Sr. & Marguerite (Murbach) Keller. After high school Bill attended Michigan Tech and was quickly drafted into the US Army. He served proudly two tours of duty during Vietnam and then five years in the reserves. Upon discharge from the Army he earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Western Michigan University. Bill married Camillia Stephanie Slogor on April 22, 1978 in Flint. Bill was proud to continue his service to his country and his fellow troops by way of his 30+ year career as a logistic engineer with General Dynamics. The precision Bill mastered as an engineer was reflected in his personal life as he was able to fix or build almost anything and was always ten steps ahead of everyone else. His project philosophy was to always do things right the first time. Bill is survived by his wife, Camillia Keller; his son and best friend, William Keller of Metamora and his brother Herman Keller of Metamora. He was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents. In keeping with Bill’s wishes cremation services have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer.
