<p>Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on March 10, 2020. Joreen Edith Leona (Mallette) Jackson, at the age of 91 years. Wife of the late Philip Jackson and dear mother of Michael Jackson (Wendy). Fondly remembered by her five granddaughters Jennifer Chatham, Christina MacDonald (Cory Butler), Cindy Chatham (Mike Jobson), Amanda Craig (Mike) and Lisa Wichers (Mike) and by a brother Clifford Mallette. Joreen was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Chatham Martell, a great grandson Kyler Chatham and by her parents Zella and Wilfrid Mallette.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6-8 pm (with the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary tributes at 5:45 pm) and on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 10-11 am. A ceremony celebrating Joreen's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11 am followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 96, 180 Park Street, Brockville. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Baby's Breath Canada (SIDS) or the Canadian Cancer Society (directed to breast cancer) will be gratefully acknowledged. Joreen hugged me when my own Mum passed and told me that she would be my Mum now. She was my Mum and for that I am so grateful. What an incredibly wonderful woman she was. A true matriarch for the family. She will be missed.
