Diana Lynn Woodard, 52 Diana Lynn Woodard, 52 of Mansfield, formerly of rural Ashland passed away early Sunday morning, March 8, 2020 at home. She was born to Janice (nee Bernhard) and Theodore Glenn on July 29, 1967 in Royal Oak, Michigan at the William Beaumont Hospital, while being just a few miles north of the then on-going historic Detroit Riots. While growing up, she attended school at Nankin, Ohio beginning in 1972. She also took piano lessons and had been successfully involved in 4-H with sewing, baking, and sheep raising projects. At Mapleton High School she played in the band and graduated in 1985. Diana played the piano for the singing performance at her graduation. Diana went on to North Central Technical College where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting in 1988, while working to pay expenses and meeting her future husband. Since then she has held highly responsible positions in her career field, including her current position as Accounts Payable Coordinator with Carton Service in Shelby, Ohio. She was friendly and outgoing and enjoyed interacting with others she knew. Diana grew up attending the United Methodist Church of Savannah, where she was later confirmed and has regularly attended. On November 11, 2000 at the church, she married Anthony “Tony” Woodard. He survives along with their son, Jared Russel Woodard, who was born on December 24, 2003. She is also survived by her parents, Dr. Ted and Janice Glenn of rural Ashland; two brothers, David (Marianne) Glenn of Streetsboro and Gordon (Janice) Glenn of rural Ashland; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her best friend, Michelle Brooks. Diana is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and one sister, Denise Lynn Glenn who passed away on September 4, 1966. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the United Methodist Church of Savannah with Reverend Johnnie F. Swann officiating. Interment will follow in the Savannah Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, March 13, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Savannah, P.O. Box 177, Savannah, Ohio 44874.
