Mildred “Sally” Gibbs, 60, of Tappahannock passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at her residence on Monday, March 2, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mildred Langford Martin. Sally is survived by her sons, Robert Wayne Gibbs, Jr. and Joseph James Gibbs both of Tappahannock; five grandchildren, Whitney, Ebony, Amber, Alex and Cameron Gibbs; two great-granddaughters Sofia and Nelly; four sisters, Margaret Davis and Marion Akers both of Tappahannock, Bessie Jane King of Haynesville and Joyce Marie Walston of Center Cross; four brothers, Andrew Martin, Jr. and Robert Arthur Martin both of Tappahannock, Russell Bernard Martin and Michael Wayne Martin both of Warsaw; a number of nieces and nephews and a special companion, Ricky Farmer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020 in the Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock with Pastor John C. Yeatts officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will be private.
