Luis D. Trupia, 79, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at his home.
Born in New York, New York, he had been a resident of Stuart for 22 years coming from Commack, New York.
He held a Bachelor in Science degree from Adelphi University, Westbury, New York. He also had attended Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, Brooklyn, New York.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stuart.
Before retiring he was a chemical engineer for Grumman Aerospace in Bethpage, New York and Northrup-Grumman in Stuart.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Judith Trupia of Stuart; his son, Richard Trupia of Cumming, Georgia; his daughters, Lee-Ann Johnson and her husband John of Commack, New York, Jeanine Darquea and her husband Richard of Wellington, Florida and Lisa Rumpf and her husband Mark of Patchogue, New York; his sister, Andrea Drasner of Las Vegas, Nevada; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 12 and 13, 2017 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home Palm City, FL with a Vigil Prayer Service at 6:30 PM on Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stuart. Entombment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Palm City.
