Anthony D. Montenegro Obituary

Anthony D. Montenegro, Sr., 87 of South Hackensack passed away October 27, 2017. Born to Giovanni and Francesca Montenegro on December 20, 1929 in Lodi Township, NJ (now South Hackensack). He is survived by his sons Anthony Jr, John and Tom (Tess), his grandchildren John Jr., Alice, David, great granddaughter Gianna and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Theresa (Kehlert) and his close knit brothers and sisters – Helen, Josephine, Louis, Millie, Virginia, John and Arthur. Anthony worked at the Bergen Record for over 40 years prior to moving to Port St Lucie, FL upon retirement. He was proud to serve his community as a member of the Board of Education and as a Volunteer Fireman in South Hackensack, where he resided for 60 years. Visitation will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 4 PM – 8 PM and Thursday, November 2, 2017 9 AM – 10 AM with a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
