"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Robert William McLean. August 4, 1944 - June 16, 2018 Robert is survived by his sisters Judy (Gary) Stromme and Betty Brendeland (Kel), and sister-in-law Diane McLean, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family thanks Robert’s special friend Gay for her companionship over the last few years. He was predeceased by his mother Lorraine, father Clarence and brother Doug. Robert was born in Port Alberni and spent many years working with the Dept. of Highways throughout Vancouver Island and the lower mainland. Robert retired to Campbell River to spend time with family. Our thanks to the caring staff at the Campbell River Hospital. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. ”
