Bertha "Bertie" Jacobson Obituary

Bertie Ann Jacobson, daughter of Stanley Foust and Bertha Jean Young Cady, was born on May 1, 1950 in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in her home at the age of sixty-six years, six months, and fourteen days. On October 16, 1971, Bertie was united in marriage to Wayne Thomas “Tom” Jacobson and to this union two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kay Rausch; and a brother, Andy Cady. Bertie is survived by her husband, Tom, of the home; her daughters, Betty Ann Linton and husband Danny, of Macks Creek, Missouri and Jincy Vaughan and husband Joey, of Eldon, Missouri; two granddaughters, Lacey and Danielle Linton; a great-granddaughter, Zoey Keehler; a number of nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Bertie moved to Macks Creek as a child and was a graduate of Macks Creek High School in the Class of 1968. Following her marriage to Tom, Bertie lovingly raised her children and later worked at Pinocchio’s Day Care in Camdenton. She worked as the Custodial Supervisor at First National Bank in Camdenton for many years. She retired from the bank to spend time with her family. Bertie had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of Walk on Water Faith Church in Osage Beach for many years. Bertie was known for her baking and made her famous pies for her family and friends for many years. She was a thoughtful person and had a gift of sending cards to those in need at the right time. She cherished the time spent with her family and always looked forward to family get-togethers. Bertie was a woman of deep faith and even through all of her treatments, she never lost faith. She witnessed to the patients, nurses and doctors during their treatments and wanted to make sure that they all knew of Christ and His love for everyone. Bertie was a loving wife, mom, meemee, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Walk On the Water Faith Church, Osage Beach, Missouri in the fellowship hall downstairs. Memorial donations may be made to the church. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri.
