Jessie DeLeon Cedillo, 85, lifetime resident of Stamford and independent business owner of J.D. Cedillo Roofing, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Rosary services will be stated at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at Kinney-Underwood Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Anns Catholic Church with Father Angelo Consemino officiating. Following Mass, Jessie will be laid to rest next to his beloved Mamie in Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home. Jessie was born on October 15, 1930 in Weinert, the son of the late Isabel and Paulita (DeLeon) Cedillo. He married Eufemia Mamie Sanchez on February 4, 1952 in Abilene and they made their home in Stamford. On March 11, 2011, Mamie preceded Jessie in death after 59 years of marriage. In 1968, Jessie began the legacy of J.D. Cedillo Roofing in Stamford which he was still operating at the time of his passing. Jessie was a faithful member of St. Anns Catholic Church, serving in numerous capacities, including the Parish Council, a Eucharistic Minister, an usher, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jessie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mamie; 1 son, Noel Cedillo; 1 daughter, Olivia Alvarado; 1 granddaughter, Danilla Alvarado; 5 brothers, Isabel Cedillo, Jr., Raymond Cedillo, Pete Cedillo, David Cedillo, Nicko Cedillo; and 3 sisters, Guadalupe Castenada, Paula Ramirez, Chonita Neito. Jessie is lovingly survived by 5 daughters, Rachel Garcia of Stamford, Milda Cedillo of Abilene, Molly Cedillo of Abilene, Gail Baumbach and husband Darrell of Midland, Melanie Carlson and husband John of San Angelo; 2 sons, Oscar Cedillo and wife Carla of Abilene, Eugene Cedillo and wife Juanita of Sweetwater; 1 brother, Dario Cedillo of Ft. Worth; 5 grandsons, Matthew Garcia and wife Susan, Nathan Garcia, Jared Baumbach and wife Cami, Jonas Baumbach and wife Liza, Hayden Carlson, 6 granddaughters, Samantha Carruth and husband Jason, Andrea Eaton and husband Joshua, Anna Alvarado, Lani Rico, Jacinda Cedillo, Hallee Carlson; 15 great grandchildren, Charli Beth Blackwell, Justin N. King, Jennifer King, Brennan Carruth, Jackson Cowling, James Cowling, Messiah Gonzalez, Zavion Morin, Jaxon Garcia, Matti Garcia, Emma Grace Sutton, Paisley Eaton, Lyndon Eaton, Elara Baumbach, Koehn Baumbach; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In honor of Jessies active role in St. Anns Catholic Church, the family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to St. Anns Catholic Church Remodeling Fund, 1001 S.
