Carmine Scocco Obituary

Carmine Scocco was born in Downtown Jersey City on June 2, 1943. He lived most of his life in Jersey City. He was an Environmental Inspector for JCIA for over 25 years. Carmine was the beloved brother of Bart, John and Deborah Scocco. He was a loving father to his three sons, Carmine, Jerry and Darrin Scocco. He was a devoted grandfather to Samantha, Jonathan, Carmine, Michael and Anthony Scocco. He found great joy being great grandfather to Savannah. He was beloved by his long time companion of 25 years, Jean De La Rosa, and loved her children, Julian and Anna De La Rosa, as his own. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Frances Scocco, with whom he remained a good friend. Carmine loved traveling around the world, fishing for sea bass, and boating for relaxation. He was known as "Captain Nippy." He had a beautiful singing voice, which he used in the church choir and beloved gatherings of family and friends.
