Ellen Douglas Gervasio, 99, of West Keansburg, died Friday, March 14, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, lived in Staten Island and Keyport, prior to moving to West Keansburg 28 years ago. She worked for Bethlehem Steel Company, in Staten Island for 10 years as a transcriber. Mrs. Gervasio was a communicant of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg, and a member of the Bayshore Senior Center, Keansburg. In her spare time Ellen enjoyed knitting. She is predeceased by her 1st husband Joseph Douglas in 1968 and her 2nd husband, Daniel Gervasio in 1990, and her daughter Mary Peterson in 1989. Surviving are her son, Joseph Douglas of West Keansburg; a daughter Elinor Martin of CO; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Family will be accepting friends on Tuesday from 2PM-4PM and 7PM-9PM at the Jacqueline M Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave Keansburg.
