Patricia L. Huckleberry

Patricia “Pat” L. Huckleberry, 83 HARTFORD CITY – Patricia L. Huckleberry, 83, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Hartford City on May 26, 1933 to Paul Charles Lex Sr. and Erma (McCaffrey) Lex. Both parents precede her in death. Pat married Elmer V. Huckleberry on July 21, 1962 in Hartford City. He precedes her in death on August 28, 2005. She graduated from Hartford City High School in 1951. She retired in 2000 from Chatfield Paper-Hartford City Foam where she was a press operator after 43 years of service. She was an avid bowler, very active in Boy Scouts of American with her grandchildren, formerly worked at Tin Lizzy and she volunteered at Head Start in Hartford City and Portland. Pat was a member of First Church of Nazarene in Hartford City and the AMVETS Post #23 Auxiliary where she had been a lifetime member and served as Chaplain for years. She will be sadly missed by her son, Jerry L. (wife, Vivian) Branscum of Hartford City; daughter, Linda L. Sullivan of Redkey; grandchildren, Shain (wife, Heather) Branscum, Chad (wife, Wendy) Sullivan, Tyson Sullivan, Chi Sullivan, Rena’ (husband, Kevin) Holmes, Kathy Dolen (friend, Kent Witter), Julie Thomas; great-grandchildren, Marandia Branscum, Marissa Branscum, Michael Branscum, William Overla, Shelby Sullivan, T.J. Sullivan, Danae Sullivan, Tayleigh Sullivan, Nicholas Holmes, Kristian Holmes, Destin Holmes, Faith Holmes, Noah Holmes, Isabella Holmes. Megan Dolen; great-great-grandchildren, Cooper Townsend, Abrial Branscum, Aalyiah Branscum; brothers, Paul “Bennie” Lex Jr. of Hartford City; John M. (wife, Karen) Lex of Hartford City; sisters, Rosetta M. Whitesell of Hartford City; Mary C. (husband, Edward) Blevins of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Jack W. Siders, Frankie L. Lex and sister, Viola Smith. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at First Church of the Nazarene, 1402 W. Water St. Hartford City with Rev. Steve High officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City, IN and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at First Church of Nazarene. Memorials may be made to First Church of Nazarene, 1402 W.
