Dolly Sutton

Dolly Sutton, age 97 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at NHC Tullahoma. She was born on December 13, 1918 in Murfreesboro to the late James “Bud” and Rena Virginia Patrick Sneed. Dolly was a member of the New Center Grove Church of Christ and loved spending time with her grandchildren and gardening. She was an avid reader, enjoying reading the Bible, Wall Street Journal, and other newspapers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, G.B. Sutton; grandson, William Johnston Sutton; and siblings, Johnny Ray Sneed, Stella Mae Lawrence, Lee Roy Sneed, Willie Lawrence Sneed, and James David Sneed. Dolly is survived by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Sneed Layne of Murfreesboro; children, Jean Hill of Tullahoma, Joe (Vicki) Sutton of Hernando, Mississippi, John (Michelle) Sutton of Winchester, and Joan (Greg) Parker of Huntsville; grandchildren, Matthew Hill, Dustin Hill, Brandi (Joe) Brannon, Blake (Lisa) Sutton, Brittany (Richard) Oden, Kathleen Parker, Paytonne Crossland, and Lucas Crossland; and great-grandchildren, Asher Sutton, Elijah Oden, Kentrell Oden, Gabbi Oden, Annabelle Oden, and Courtlyn Hill. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM Friday, November 4, 2016 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Brother Byron Lawrence officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Richard Oden, Joe Brannon, Matthew Hill, Blake Sutton, Lucas Crossland, and Logan Martin serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Tennessee Children’s Home, Spring Hill, Tennessee, www.tennesseechildrenshome.org; or Potters Children’s Home, Bowling Green, Kentucky, www.potterministries.org.
