Betty Wallop

Betty Jane Austin Wallop was born on April 24th, 1958, to Marion & William Lee Austin & her biological father Charles Beverly. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday April 5th , 2012, at her home in Wattsville, Virginia. Betty received her early education in Accomack County, Virginia. She later took up a trade as a Dental Assistant at Howard Career Center in Wilmington, Delaware. She, along with her husband, managed a seasonal job at Holland Farms for 18 years. Betty was united in Holy Matrimony to Elvis Wallop on August 28th, 1993 at Dea’s Chapel UMC in Horntown, Virginia. Although, they didn’t have any of their own, together they raised three beautiful children: Brittany (Ashley) Furniss, Larry Austin, and Ladasha Austin. Betty joined Deas Chapel UMC and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She served on many committees including the kitchen committees, trustee board, and usher’s board . She also was a member of Dea’s chapel chapperelles. Betty was a lively individual who was loved by many. She was like a shining star who could brighten up every room she walked into. Her love and compassion for others was unconditional. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her. Betty was preceded in death by her stepfather William Lee Austin, her sister Barbara Austin, her brother Donald Austin, and her sister Vallne Austin. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband— Elvis Wallop of Wattsville, Virginia; her two children—Larry and LaDasha Austin of Wattsville, Virginia; her mother— Marion Austin of Wilmington, Delaware; her father—Charles Beverly of Florida; six brothers— Billy Austin of Horntown, Virginia, Aruall Austin of Horntown, Virginia, Larry Austin of Wilmington, Delaware, Lamaunty Johnson (Evelyn) of Horntown, Virginia, Shawn and Bryan Christopher; four sisters— Esther Austin (Felix DeJesus) of Wilmington, Delaware, Mary Dividue (Freddie Dividue) of Wilmington, Delaware, Tusserine Cropper of Horntown, Virginia and Karmita Cropper of Horntown, Virginia; three god children—Jamyda Rodriguez, Kia Dennie and Gardner Fosque III; a special nephew Vallice Austin; a special niece Rena Austin; a special sister-in-law Arnette Wallop; a special friend Ann Dupont and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
