GayNell (Peewee) Greene, age 62, of Richlands, VA passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. She was born January 20, 1958 in Grundy, VA. She attended Bible Way Church at Raven. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.G. (Gee) and Thelma McGinnis; her husband, Charlie Greene; two sisters, Delores McGinnis and Connie McGinnis Evans. GayNell is survived by four children, Cindy Kilgore Howard, Crystal Johnson, Derrick Bevins, and Jessica Bevins; twelve grandchildren; 8 siblings, Linda McGinnis, Larry McGinnis and wife Peggy, James (Buddy) McGinnis, Kathy Viars and husband Michael, Rickey McGinnis and wife Billie Ruth, Kenny McGinnis and wife Nancy, Karen Adkins and husband Jimmy, and Rhonda Overholtz and husband Michael; many nieces and nephews also survive. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 27th at the Cedar Bluff Community Church at Claypool Hill, VA with the Rev. Dannie D. Short and Austin Burke officiating. The family will receive friends after 12 noon until time of service.
