Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edward Brown, age 44, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Thigpen Cemetery . Pastor Stefan Brown and Rev. John Taylor will officiate.   Mr. Brown was born August 11, 1972 in Dublin, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Charles Bradley Brown and Frankie Jean Nesmith Cherry. He has made his home in Laurens County for the past 44 years and attended Resurrection Assembly of God. He was employed by the City of East Dublin and the City of Soperton as a Police Officer. Mr. Brown passed away Friday, October 28, 2016.   He is survived by his wife, Sheila R. Brown of East Dublin, three daughters, Kelsey Brown (Lex) Bryant, Allison (Conner Hobbs) Brown and Brittnee Brown all of Dublin, a grandchild, Ayden P. Bryant, a brother, Billy Brown of Jacksonville, FL, three sisters, Debra (Robert) Tayloe, Tiffany (Charles Cooper) Kaluzny and Patricia (Jody) Reynolds all of Dublin, and his mother-in-law, Thelma Beck.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00, Wednesday, November 3, 2016 at the funeral home.   Pallbearers will be officers from the East Dublin Police Department, Dent Yates, Paul Sterling, Tracy Sterling, Dustin Renfroe, Jonathan Foskey, Timothy Duvall and Gary Hanson.   Officers from Soperton Police Department will serve as honorary escorts.   Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
