Paul Bower

Paul C. “Bogie” Bower, 84 died on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Surprise, AZ. “Bogie” as he was so well known by friends and family grew up in Montana and graduated from Polson High School in 1948. He married Liberty Dupuis in 1956 after returning from the Army where he served in Korea. The couple raised three daughters in Missoula/Plains area before building and making a home on a ranch north of Polson in the Pablo area. Bogie worked many years at Dupuis Brothers Lumber before retiring from Ready Mix. He loved spending summers in Montana and wintering in Arizona. Bogie will be remembered for his friendly nature and good sense of humor. He always had a great story to tell. He had many experiences riding horseback and ranching. He loved being outdoors, playing golf, traveling from Montana to Arizona in their motorhome, dancing and being with good friends and family. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Polson. He is survived by his wife, Liberty of 57 years and three daughters. Myrna (Dick) Jakob, of Polson, Sherri (John) Seines of Henderson, NV and Kaye Pomajevich of Surprise, AZ, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jim, Art and sisters; Irma, Betty and Jane. He is survived by a sister, Shirley Puyear residing in North Dakota. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their utmost gratitude to Hospice of the Valley and to the staff at AZ Angels in Surprise, AZ. There will be a Celebration of Life for Bogie this summer at the family ranch in Pablo. Date and time to be determined.
