Dr. David Lazarus Funeral services for Dr. David Lazarus, 70, of Roswell, NM will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 at the Keene Seventh-day Adventist Church in Keene, TX. Burial will follow in Keene Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, TX. Dr. Lazarus passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at his home in Roswell, NM surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 22, 1944 in Nuzvid, Andhra Pradesh, India to Gollapalli Lazarus and Juliamma Jangam Lazarus. He married Thelma Barzey Lazarus in St. Maarten, N. A. David graduated high school in Narsapur, India, attended nursing school in Nuzvid, India, and earned his doctorate of medicine. He worked in several places for 50 years. He loved trains, reading and collecting books, and traveling. He was a good anesthesia provider and was loved by his co-workers and patients. David was faithful to God and his family. He loved people, was generous, humble, and a devoted worker. He loved education and music. David was preceded in death by his father, Gollapalli Lazarus. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Thelma Lazarus of Roswell, NM; his two sons, Praveen Lazarus and his wife, Venitha, of TX, Naveen Lazarus of FL; his daughter, Julie Lazarus of Roswell, NM; his two sisters, Lalitha Budde and husband, Balaswamy, of MD and Janet Herring and husband, Travis, of FL; his brother Donald Lazarus and his wife, Daisy, of FL; his mother, Juliamma Lazarus of FL; his nephews and nieces, Johnny, Sumal, Deepica, Daphne; and one grandson, Nathan Lazarus of TX.
