<p>Joseph L. Cardillo, 91, of West Harrison passed away on April 20, 2012. Joe was born on October 25, 1920 to Leo and Mary Cardillo. He was the proud father of nine children: Len Cardillo and wife Rosie of Tarrytown, N.Y., Ken Cardillo and wife Paulette of Wilton, CT., Carol Cardillo-Skolas of Fairfield, CT., MaryLou Castellano and husband Ken of Brewster, N.Y., Joe Cardillo Jr. and wife Meagan of Sutton, N.H., Richard Cardillo and life partner Peter Diffly of Jersey City, N.J., Annie Holden and Edmund of Rhinebeck, N.Y. Betsy Evans and husband Peter of Scarsdale, N.Y., Paul Cardillo and wife Rachel of Chapel Hill, N.C. He is also survived by his grandchildren Chris &amp; Jonah Cardillo, Robert &amp; Michael Castellano, Steven and Kira Skolas, Christopher &amp; Eric Holden, Richard, Thomas, &amp; Jenna Evans, and Jake and Eliza Cardillo. He was pre deceased by his loving wife Lee and grandson Daniel Cardillo, In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Daniel Cardillo Charitable Foundation, information can be found at www.dancardillo.com. </p><p>Joe was a founding member of St. Anthony’s of Padua Church in West Harrison. As an 83 year member of the parish, Joe loved nothing more than to serve his church calling Bingo numbers, working at the Festa, and forever capturing the churches history through photographs. Joe’s lifelong career and passion was photography. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942-1946. Joe will be missed by the many people whose lives he has touched. He will live on forever in our memories and the many photographs he has left us to look back on. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 - 4 PM and from 7 – 9 PM. Service will take place on Monday, April 23rd at 11:00 AM. St. Anthony of Padua Church, 85 Harrison Street, West Harrison, N.Y. 10604.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

Yesterday one of the original “foundation stones” of our parish died at the age of 91. Joe Cardillo had been in declining health for the last several months and he had been in White Plains Hospital for the last fews days until the time of his death yesterday.
