JOHNSON, Barbara Jane (nee Armbrust) – Passed away, peacefully, at the Welland Hospital on Monday, October 22, 2012 in her 88th year. Beloved wife for 63 years of Raymond. Cherished mother of Judy Johnson, Arlene Mills, Curtis Johnson (Karen), Phyllis Johnson and Tim Johnson (Susie). Sadly missed by 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear twin sister of Nancy Carson (Lorne) and sister of Elizabeth Young (Bob) and Pauline Epplett. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Harley and Ila Armbrust, son Ross Johnson, brother Jim Armbrust and sister Kathy Armbrust. Barbara was a Registered Nurse and worked for Dr. Speers, Dr. Whittaker and the V.O.N. She was a long time member of Central United Church. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Thursday, October 25th from 6 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Central United Church, 12 Young Street, Welland on Friday, October 26th at 11 a.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
