Bridgeport - Mr. Joseph Albert Thompson, Sr., age 51, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday August 6,2011. Mr. Thompson was born in Lawrence, Ma. on October 30,1959 a son of Mary Jane (Condo) Thompson of Maine and the late Vinson Thompson Sr. He was employed as a painter at Nick's Painting. Besides his Mother, Mr. Thompson is survived by his Step Son: William Fogarty of California, two Sons: Joseph Albert Thompson Jr. and Tony Thompson both of Bridgeport, four Daughters: Angelina Thompson, Mary-Ellen Thompson and Shania Thompson all of Bridgeport and Crystal Barcelos of Fairfield, two Sisters: Sandra Clements and Evelyn Thompson both of Maine, six Brothers: Arthur Thompson of Waterbury, Kenneth Thompson of Maine, Vinson Thompson of Naugatuck, Michael Thompson of Maine, Jeffrey Thompson of Maine and Richard Thompson of Maine and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Saturday August 13,2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church 318 Church St. Naugatuck for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck.
