Ronald Taylor

Mr. Taylor passed away on Sunday May 22, 2011.Born on April 29, 1941 in Rutherford County, he grew up in Gilkeyand was the son of the late Dexter and Mettle Taylor. After graduating from RS Central High School Ronald was employed for many years at Fiber Industries. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother- Luther Taylor and two sisters- Ruby Buckner and Sherry Taylor. He is survived by one son-Ronald Wayne Taylor and Wife Melissa of Statesville NC. One daughter-Cheryl Taylor Martin and husband Chris of Gainesville GA. Two grandsons – Josh Taylor of AR and Taylor Martin of GA. Sisters are Martha Thomason of Rutherfordton, Sharon and husband Johnny Lovelace of Sunshine, Rhonda and Ricky Hale of WVA. , one brother George and wife Betty Taylor of Rutherfordton. 13 nieces and 5 nephews also survive. A private visitation for family will be held from 2:30-3:00 on Wednesday May 25, 2011 at Crowes Mortuary with a public visitation to follow from 3:00-4:00. Funeral services will begin at 4 PM in the Chapel at Crowe’s Mortuary. Interment will follow in the Gilkey United Methodist Church Cemetery.
