ROGER W. HARRINGTON

Roger Woods Harrington, age 88, of San Mateo, passed away,

Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Putnam Community Medical Center. He was

a native of Avon, MA and resided in Putnam County since 1975 coming

from Miami. He had retired from Florida Power and Light as a watch

engineer after 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of

WWII, a member of St. Monica Catholic Church as well as the Putnam

County Genealogical Society. Roger enjoyed going to yard sales and

eating out.

He was preceded in

death by his wife, Francis F. Harrington, a great-grandson, Michael

Thomas Reilly and a son-in-law, Thomas J. Howell.

He is survived by 2

daughters, Kathleen F. Howell of Satsuma and Linda M. Alexandre of

Palatka, a brother, Freeman Gordon Harrington of Kissimmee, 6

grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 1

great-great-granddaughter.

Mass of Christian

burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 15, 2009 at St.

Monica Catholic Church with Father Ignatius Plathanam, CMI

officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation

will be Sunday from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Johnson-Overturf

Funeral Home in Palatka.
