Larry Lynn McAfee, 74, of Satsuma, FL, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012. He was born in Olean, New York, the son of the late Harry Carter McAfee and Pauline Lilly McAfee. Larry attended McKean County Schools, Penn State University and Millard Fillmore College. He served in the National Guard in the early 1960’s.

He was preceded in death by his brother Harry C. McAfee, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy McAfee and children, Natalie Johnson of Cleveland Heights, OH, Christine Johnson of Verona, PA and Martha Corley (Brian) of West Mifflin, PA, granddaughter, Liliane Corley and sister Josephine Knight of Coudersport, PA, several nieces and nephews.

While living in the Bradford area, Larry was associated with and directed numerous organizations including the Pennsylvania Life Underwriters Association, the Seneca Highlands Life Underwriters Association, the Lions Club and McKean County Cardiac Committee. He also served on the board of directors of the McKean County Motor Club.

Larry came to reside in Satsuma in 1987 and retired from Beck Chrysler, Dodge Jeep in 2009. He was a member of the Palatka Yacht Club and Northern Star Lodge #555 F&AM.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
