Norman Wilson

Norman Wilson passed away on February 27, 2013. He was born in Wheat (Oakridge), Tennessee on August 28, 1917. His parents were William Allen Paterson Wilson and Margaret (Wright) Wilson. Norman was a pharmacist for over 50 years. After practicing pharmacy in Trinidad, CO, he worked for 43 years at the drugstore in the Broadmoor Hotel and retired as president and general manager of the Broadmoor Drug Company. He graduated from Trinidad Junior College and continued his education achieving his degree in pharmacy from the Capitol College of Pharmacy. During WWII he served with the 5th Air Force in the South Pacific and was honorably discharged with the rank of major. He was a member of Manitou Lodge 68, Pikes Peak Flyfishers, and the Broadmoor Hotel Pioneer Club. Prior to his retirement, he was a member of Pikes Peak Pharmacists Association, the National Association of Retail Druggists, and the Downtown Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Pauline, and daughters Carole Hiegert (Richard), Marianne Lindstrom, Gayle Wilson and granddaughter Jennifer Stansall. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Masonic Temple, 1150 Panorama Drive. Private inurnment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date. The family wishes to express its deep gratitude to the Pikes Peak Hospice Oak Team and Brookdale Place for their exceptional care and compassion.
