Morval LaLone

LALONE, MORVAL L., age 93, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at McLaren Central Michigan. Funeral Services for Morval will be held at the Rosebush United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joe Beavan officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A Luncheon will be held back at the church following the committal service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Clark Family Funeral Chapel from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosebush United Methodist Church or to the Isabella County Commission on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the Rosebush United Methodist Church. Morval was born on September 2, 1921 in Rosebush, the son of Leo and Pearl (Ervin) LaLone. He married Theda House on April 18, 1941 in Rosebush. Morval's life work was hauling milk. He began hauling in 1938 with his father and hauled milk for farmers in Central and Northern Michigan. He was a member of the Rosebush United Methodist Church. Morval is survived by his children, Brenda Johnston of Mt. Pleasant, Cornell (Molly) LaLone of Mt. Pleasant, and Reg (Jean) LaLone of Rosebush; 7 grandchildren, Christopher (Cheri) LaLone, Melissa (Rodney) Haggart, Curt (Leanne) LaLone, Blaine Johnston, Leigh (Kraig) Moeggenborg, Ryan (Julie) LaLone, and Wade (Mandy) LaLone; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gary (Shirley) House; sisters-in-law, Nina House and Barbara House, and Ruby LaLone; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Morval was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Theda in February 2014; his parents; brothers, Noble Robert LaLone and Maurice (Betty) LaLone; sister, Irma (Lyman) Yager; siblings-in-law, Enid and George Nestle, Dale House, Wanda and Wellington Funnell, Verda and Robert Bean, and Arlo "Pete" House; and son-in-law, Bruce Johnston.
