James D. McNair, 62, a longtime Peekskill resident, died suddenly on June 7, 2014. James served in the U.S. Army during 1977. He worked for 20-yrs as a comedian for the Screen Actors Guild of NY. He was a member of the international masons, and belonged to the local St. John’s Corinthian Lodge of Peekskill. Jimmy was extremely active in the Peekskill community. He was a devoted father to, Jamel and Denita McNair, whom he is survived by; and also his 2 brothers & 4 sisters: Randy and Gregory McNair, Jamel Jackson, Branda Godbee, Pamela and Cheryl McNair, Valerie Daniel; and also his nieces and nephews: Kisha, Jerome, Telailla, Jaquitta, Noel, Denzel, LaChante, Mark, La’Asia, Tyrone, Roiasia, Duane and Jared; and then a host of great nieces & nephews, and countless friends.
