Jesus "Chuy" Alonzo

Jesus “Chuy” Alonzo, 47, of McCamey, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020, in McCamey. Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2020, at the Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in McCamey. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCamey with Father Kumar officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home. Chuy was born on March 15, 1972, in Brewster County, Texas. He had lived most of his life in McCamey and worked as a pumper in the oilfield. He enjoyed spending time outside by the Bar B Que with his family and was also supportive of his children in all their sports and activities. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Luis Alonzo; and his aunt, Isidra Rodriguez. Survivors include his wife, Mayra Alonzo of McCamey; his children, Jesus Alonzo of Mexico, Adrian Alonzo, Angel Alonza, and Anahi Alonzo, all of McCamey; his parents, Tiburcio and Aubina Alonzo of McCamey; two brothers, Jose Luis Alonzo and Adan Alonzo, both of Mexico; two sisters, Syliva Alonzo and Rosario Alonzo, both of Mexico; and one grandson, Adriel Alonzo, of McCamey.
