Mr. Joshua Michael Phillipp, age 24 of Painesville, passed away January 13, 2014. He was born November 11, 1989 in Painesville and was a lifelong resident. He received his Certificate of Masonry from Kentucky Job Corps and attended Harvey High School where he was a member of the basketball team. He enjoyed performing rap music. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends but most of all his daughter Nyaira. He is survived by his daughter Nyaira Phillipp; mother and stepfather Michelle and Eddie Mitchell; father Robert Ash; grandparents Janice and John Martin and Beatrice Mitchell; aunts and uncles Dorothy and Mark Ratliff, Dennis and Ann Phillipp, Roy Mitchell, Danny Mitchell, Debbie Mitchell, Joe Mitchell and Mae Mitchell; half sister Lyndsay Ash and brothers Dimitrius Mitchell and Eddie Raimey. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Ray and Jenny Phillipp. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.
