Ruthie Louise Nicely Brown, age 60 of Sautee, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from health complications. Born in White County, Georgia on June 3, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Nicely and Ruthelene Trammell Nicely Holloway. Mrs. Brown was employed in the culinary department with the White County School System. Mrs. Brown enjoyed cooking and flower gardening. She was a selfless person who loved reaching out and helping others. She was also an active and faithful devoted member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served in the pastor’s aide ministry and was deeply involved in the women’s ministry. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Nicely. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Willie Brown, Jr. of Sautee; daughter, Wanda Nicely of Sautee; brothers Prince Nicely, J.V. “Jody” Nicely, John Nicely all of Toccoa and Willis Nicely of Cornelia; sisters, Mary Frances Nicely and Delores Durant both of Cleveland, Leslie Nicely of Athens, and Emma Nicely of Toccoa; numerous nieces and nephews, church family, and other friends and family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Oliver Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Bethel Cemetery in Toccoa. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
