Beatrice "Bea" Brinkman Obituary

Beatrice L Brinkman, 67, of rural Robinson, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis IN. She was born January 18, 1949 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Oscar “Jim” & Delee Bland, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Floyd Brinkman, Sr. on September 8, 1974, and he survives (rural Robinson, IL). She is also survived by her children & their spouses, Rick Brinkman & Joanne Boren (St. Francisville, IL) Reatha & Mike Cole (Indiana), Rhonda & Rickie Waggoner (Sumner, IL), Robin & Clarence Michl (Hardinville, IL) and Floyd Brinkman, Jr. (rural Robinson, IL); by multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; by her sisters, Nita Bradbury (Robinson, IL) and Myrtle Garrard (Martinsville, IL), as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Bea was a graduate of Robinson High School, and went on to graduate from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree. She retired from Marathon Oil Company in Findlay, OH after 30 years of service. When she wasn’t working, she could often be found reading or spending time in the kitchen, and will long be remembered as a fantastic cook and baker. Her family has lost a loving and caring soul. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, rural Palestine. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
