Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on May 12, 2011 in his 80th year. Dear father of Leslie Gonczowski (Tim) and Karen Fritz. (Don Elliott). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jennifer Jacques (Kirk), Michael Gonczowski (Sheena), Erin Fritz and Nata lie Gladu. Also survived by great grandchildren Brittany,Taylor, Brandon, Trinady and Zoey. Brother of George Smith (Beatrice). Predeceased by his daughter Sandra Lynn Smith, a great grandaughter Payton Gonczowski and sisters Lorna McCrady and Gladys MacDonald and by a brother Donald Smith. Family and friend may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, Sunday from 6pm until 8 pm. A celebration of Lorne's life will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 1.30 pm. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium, with interment at Roselawn Cemetery, Maitland. In memoriams to the Canadian Cancer Society wil be gratefully appreciated. Officers and Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 96 will gather for a Legion Tribute on Sunday at 6.45 pm.
