William Patterson, Jr., 92, of Mays Landing, passed away December 10, 2011 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Bill was a life long resident of South Jersey and has lived in Mays Landing for the past 59 years. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII, where he was stationed in the Pacific. Bill was a member of the Twp. of Hamilton Historical Society, Winding River Boating Association, and the Cape Atlantic Rock Hounds. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Miriam Patterson. William is survived by his daughters: Connie Reynolds and her husband Arthur and Patricia Mayhew and her husband Jay; his grandchildren: Jennifer Reynolds, William Reynolds (Melody), Jessica Haviland (Mark), Kate Prince (James); his great-grandchildren: Patrick Reynolds, Griffin Haviland, and Zephyr Haviland. He is also survived by his brother, John (Virginia) of Mississippi; step-mother, Eva of Georgia; his brother-in-law, Myron Lashley (Blanche) and many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, 11am, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St. Mays Landing, where family and friends may call from 9:30am til the time of the service.
