Harold Pritchett

Harold Pritchett, age 76 of Baldwin, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016. Born in Stephens County, Georgia on November 8, 1939, he was a son of the late Swayne Pritchett and Francine Chitwood Pritchett McDonald. Mr. Pritchett was the founder and former owner and operator of Pritchett Tire. He was a United States Army Reserve veteran and a member of Damascus Baptist Church. He enjoyed dirt track racing, reading, and fishing and camping with his grandchildren. Mr. Pritchett had a passion for antique autos and was currently restoring his 1939 Ford. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pritchett was preceded in death by his brother, C.L. Pritchett; and sister, Marlene Pritchett Bennett. Surviving are his wife, Lawanna Hogan Pritchett of Baldwin; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Curtis Key of Lula; daughter, Tamara Prince of Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Emilie Pritchett of Homer; grandchildren, Hannah Pritchett, Victoria Prince, Joel Pritchett and Elijah Pritchett; step-brother and spouse, Doug & Carol McDonald of Baldwin. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, July 14, 2016 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with David Terrell officiating. Interment will follow at Leatherwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
